What We Do

Roofing, Repairs & Tile in Franklin

Four things we do, and one standard we hold to all of them: licensed, insured, quoted in writing, and finished when we said.

Harrison crew at work in Franklin
The Harrison Standard

We started because nobody called back.

the owner started Harrison Industries LLC after watching his own neighbor wait eleven weeks for a roofer who took a deposit and disappeared. He'd been swinging a hammer since he was nineteen, and he was tired of the whole trade wearing that reputation. So the rule was simple from day one: answer the phone, show up on the day, and put the price in writing.

We're still a small crew, and we like it that way. We don't sub the work out to whoever's cheapest that week — the people on your roof are on our payroll, and they carry our name on their shirt. We're licensed, bonded, and carry $2M in liability plus full workers' comp, and you'll get the certificate before we ever pull into your driveway. Most of our work comes from a neighbor pointing at the house next door, and we'd like to keep it that way.

What We Do

The trades that fix and finish

Roofing, repairs, tile and exteriors — handled by one accountable crew instead of four companies who each blame the other. From a $200 punch list to a full tear-off, it's the same phone number and the same standard.

Roofing & Storm Repair
01 · Roofing

Roofing & Storm Repair

Full tear-offs, targeted repairs, and honest storm assessments. We tear off to the deck and inspect it — overlays only when the deck and code actually allow it, never because it's faster for us. Ice-and-water shield at every eave and valley, proper ridge and soffit ventilation so your shingles don't cook from underneath, and a manufacturer-backed system (GAF and Owens Corning) so your warranty is real.

  • Full tear-off to the deck
  • Rotted decking replaced & documented
  • Ice-and-water shield at eaves & valleys
  • Balanced ridge/soffit ventilation
  • GAF / Owens Corning warranty registration
  • Magnetic nail sweep, daily

Handyman & Home Repair

One call for the whole punch list. Doors that stick, drywall that's cracked, trim that never got finished, a ceiling fan, a leaking hose bib, that one shelf your spouse has mentioned four times. No job is too small — we'd rather knock out six little things in an afternoon than have you call six different guys who never call back.

  • Drywall patch & texture match
  • Door, trim & hardware repair
  • Rot repair & carpentry
  • Fixture & fan installs
  • Caulking & weatherproofing
  • Rate quoted before we start

Tile & Flooring
03 · Tile & Flooring

Tile & Flooring

The part hacks skip is the part that matters: subfloor prep and waterproofing. We flatten and reinforce the subfloor, then run a real waterproofing system — Schluter or RedGard — before a single tile goes down. That's why our showers don't leak into the joists and our grout lines still look sharp five years in. Tile, LVP, hardwood, and full bathroom and kitchen floors.

  • Subfloor flattening & reinforcement
  • Schluter or RedGard waterproofing
  • Proper mortar coverage, no voids
  • Backsplash & shower surrounds
  • LVP & hardwood installation
  • Grout sealed before we leave

Exterior Repair

Exterior Repair

Siding, gutters, decks, fascia, soffit and trim — the outside of your house is one system, and water finds every gap in it. We repair and replace siding and trim, hang seamless gutters sized and pitched to actually move water away from your foundation, and rebuild decks that have gone soft. Indiana weather is hard on a house; we build for it.

  • Siding repair & replacement
  • Seamless gutters & guards
  • Fascia, soffit & trim rot repair
  • Deck rebuilds & board replacement
  • Proper flashing & water management

Our Process

Four steps. No ghosting.

The same sequence on every job, whether it's a $300 repair or a $20,000 roof.

1

We Show Up & Look

A real appointment window, and we keep it. We get on the roof or under the sink, photograph what we find, and show you the pictures — including the parts that are still fine.

2

Written, Itemized Quote

In your inbox within 24–48 hours. Materials, labor, tear-off, disposal, permits — line by line. Financing options included if it's a big number. Then we leave you alone to think about it.

3

We Do the Work

Same crew, on the day we promised, with a text when we're 30 minutes out. Site tarped, debris hauled, magnetic nail sweep every single evening before we go home.

4

Walkthrough, Then Invoice

We walk it with you and you tell us what you see. Anything at all, we fix it on the spot. Only after you're satisfied do we send a bill — and it matches the quote.

What does a new roof actually cost?
For a typical Franklin home with asphalt architectural shingles, a full replacement runs $8,000–$25,000 depending on square footage, pitch, layers to tear off, and how much decking has rotted. Targeted repairs — a valley, a boot, a wind-lifted section — run $400–$1,500. We'll never give you a number over the phone and then 'discover' it's double once we're on the roof: the written quote is the price.
What do handyman and tile jobs run?
Handyman work is $75–$125/hour, or we'll flat-rate the whole punch list up front so you know the number before we start — your choice. Tile installation runs $8–$20 per square foot installed depending on the tile, the pattern, and how bad the subfloor is. A typical bathroom tile job lands between $2,500 and $7,000. All of it quoted in writing, itemized, before a tool comes off the truck.
Do you help with insurance claims?
Yes, and it's a big part of what we do after a storm. We'll inspect the roof, document the damage with photos, meet your adjuster at the house and walk it with him, and handle the supplement paperwork if the first offer doesn't cover a proper job. We work for you, not the insurance company — and we'll also tell you honestly when a claim isn't worth filing.
How long does a roof replacement take?
One to three days for most homes. A straightforward single-story ranch is usually a one-day tear-off and re-roof. Steeper pitches, multiple layers, complicated valleys, or a lot of rotted decking push it to two or three. We give you the timeline in the quote, and if weather moves us you'll hear from us the night before — not the morning of.
Do you clean up the nails?
Every night, not just at the end. We run a magnetic sweeper over the driveway, the walkways, the lawn and the flower beds before we leave each day, and again on final. Tarps go down before the tear-off starts, and the dumpster leaves with the debris. Nobody's tire or bare foot should ever find one of our nails.
Are you licensed and insured — and do you offer financing?
Licensed, bonded, and carrying $2M in general liability plus full workers' comp on every person on your property. We email you the certificate of insurance before we start, without you having to ask. And yes — financing is available on larger projects, including 0% for 12 months on approved credit and longer terms up to 60 months. We'll bring the options to the estimate so you can see the monthly number alongside the total.
